Nicki Franek is a textile artist that is  based in Toronto, and currently working her way through her final year of Sheridan's Craft & Design Textile program. Though Nicki loves to explore a multitude of techniques when creating, much of her past work reflects a focus on form and texture, using construction techniques such as weaving, knitting, crocheting, or knotting. Nicki is also a keen investigator of colour and colour relationships, resulting in work that is often marked by a rich and varying colour palette.
